I have been working out in gyms since I was a freshman in highschool. For close to a decade my workouts were routine, redundant and honestly, boring... and of course, my results were the exact same!

In 2008 I had an experience that changed everything. I learned the importance of Functional Movements and what happens when you perform them at (relatively) High Intensity. This revelation came in the form of what is known as CrossFit. Soon after I started doing CrossFit workouts I completed my CrossFit Level 1 cert along with NASM certification and started taking steps to open a CrossFit affiliate.

Now I coach others using the exact same principles that changed my workouts, my health and my life. It would be funny, if it wasn't so sad, the delusion that large corporate gyms have us under about what it means to "work out". Come see the difference for yourself, you will never work out in the same way again.
I have a sports and military background. I have been playing sports for over 20 years including soccer, baseball, football, tennis, golf, rock climbing, snowboarding, cycling, triathlons, etc. I played varsity football and baseball in high school and served 3 years in United States Navy. It was the military that hatched my fitness birth. Shortly afterward, I started running 2 miles then 3 miles then 6 miles, etc. I started training for my first triathlon (sprint) in the summer of 2005 which later developed into participating in the Seattle to Portland 204 mile ride in 1 day on my "fixed gear" (1 geared) bike.

I have always been in the gym working out. Weights, cardio, Chest/Back on Monday, Shoulders/Arms on Wednesday, Legs on Friday - I always struggled to have a routine, but little did I know at the time that routine is the enemy! It was January 2009 that my life was so radically changed. I was introduced to CrossFit by my friend and now business partner Corey McGee. CrossFit was like no other workout that I had ever experienced. Not only does CrossFit challenge you physically it challenges you mentally. To this day I still run into workouts that I question my ability to finish.

After finding CrossFit and knowing how much it changed and challenged my life I started introducing it to all my clients. If CrossFit could change my life, I knew that it would change the lives of all my clients. My programs are designed to increase your cardio/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy. What person doesn’t need this kind of training? The answer is...Nobody!

Biography

I want to help others change their lives. I have seen firsthand the results that actual WORK during a workout can produce and I believe whole heartedly in my programming, my coaching and my clients.

I have been in Seattle since 2004 and I am still impressed with the beauty of the city and the state. I take full advantage of the year-round outdoor activates that are less than an hour drive in any direction. I love triathlons and especially cycling. During the winters I'll be up on the mountains snowboarding as much as possible. Summer is the perfect time for some good rock climbing or wakeboarding. The best part of all of these is bringing good friends along for the journey.

Through my coaching I encourage everyone to try new sports, get outside and to take on new challenges. My hope is that through training and increased strength and confidence people will set goals they never thought possible then achieve them with flying colors!
I have been coaching for almost 4 years. I started training at a local corporate gym and it was there that I had the opportunity to be under some really outstanding mentors/trainers. At every opportunity I picked the brains of everyone so I could learn as much as possible. I still do this. I originally started as a nursing major at Seattle Pacific University but then transitioned over into the Exercise Science field. I have had many clients with many different needs.

My goal is to impact my clients' lives so much that they feels radically changed. I simply believe in internal and external strength and that both are the outcome of a well-rounded program. My drive and motivation comes from the many people I have met and will meet that haven given me the chance to make a huge impact in their lives. I heard a motto a long time ago that stated, "you will never have to go to work again when you find something you love to do". I hold on to this motto tightly because that is what being a Coach/Personal Trainer is to me. There is not one day that I feel like I am working. I am getting people to their goals and helping people gain self-respect and self-esteem. I thoroughly enjoy meeting new people and having them quickly become friends.
